The most relatable analogy for how websites work is that of the cellphone. To get a cellphone fully functional, you need at least three things; one the phone itself, two a registered sim card and three a recharge with talk time. The website equivalent being one a working website (the design code), two a domain name (e.g www.businessyanga.com) and domain hosting (i.e the place where your site lives)
Yes you can play with it and see its features but a phone just out of the box can't make any calls
You need a sim card registered with your network of choice
...and of course talk time
Same thing goes for a website, having all the code for a website isn't enough to make it accessible by anyone on the internets
You need a domain name which is unique and is similar to the phone number that your sim card comes with
...and it all has to live (be hosted) on servers that are reachable by anyone online
